About Text2Viz

Text2Viz is a tiny, independent project built and run by one person. There is no team, no funding round and no growth department — just a tool I wanted to exist.

Why it exists

I kept running into the same chore: I had a list of dates, or a few numbers, or two things to compare — and turning that into a decent visual meant opening a design tool, picking a template, dragging boxes around and fiddling with fonts for twenty minutes. For a visual I would use once in a slide deck.

Text2Viz is the shortcut I wished for: paste the text you already have, get the visual back in seconds. It does not try to replace Canva or PowerPoint. It handles the 80% of cases where you just need something clean and readable, fast.

How it works, honestly

Everything runs in your browser. Your text is parsed locally — dates become a timeline, “Label: number” lines become a bar chart — and the result is drawn with open-source libraries. There is no account system, which means there is nothing to sign up for and nothing tracking you across the web. The 10-per-day free limit exists simply to keep the site sustainable.

What it is not (yet)

Text2Viz will not design a 40-page pitch deck, and it will not match a professional designer’s custom infographic. The visuals are deliberately simple: clear, minimal, readable. If you need ornate, hand-crafted design, a full studio tool is still the right choice.
